Chase Kanarek

Chase has gained experience working at a variety of clubs throughout California and Nevada. Prior to joining the team at Bennett Valley, Chase spent four years as Head Professional at Green Hills Country Club, where he helped establish the Green Hills Golf Academy. Chase has always had a passion for golf instruction and is happiest when he is coaching full time. He has had the opportunity to learn from top coaches and enjoys the challenge of helping students play their best. Chase works with golfers of all abilities and varying skill levels. His communication style helps him identify student goals and create a clear plan to achieve them. Chase has always had a passion for working with Junior Golfers. He’s helped students make it through the early stages of Q-School, play collegiately, and attend the Junior World Championships at Pinehurst. Chase is proud to offer Operation 36 programs to the Sonoma County community and is focused on creating golfers for life!

 

Chase is a long time Bay Area resident and was born and raised in Marin County. Upon graduating high school, he attended Santa Rosa Junior College before transferring to the University of Nevada Las Vegas where he earned his PGA Membership and degree in Hospitality Management. When Chase isn’t on the lesson tee, he is most likely spending time with his wife Victoria and daughter Lucy enjoying the outdoors.

 

CJ Snyder

CJ grew up in Terra Linda and lived there until he was 20. During that time, his dad was the Head Golf Professional at the Meadow Club in Fairfax. CJ started working for his dad when he was 14 in an outside service position where he cleaned member’s clubs, washed carts, and picked the driving range. That’s really where his love for the game of golf started. He played in many JGANC events locally as a junior golfer and qualified for Junior World in San Diego as a 16-year-old. CJ started his professional golf career as an Assistant Pro at Contra Costa CC as a 22-year-old. He went through the PGA PGM program while he worked there and became a PGA member in 2014. Since then, he’s worked at Round Hill Country Club and most recently at Diablo Country Club as the Head Golf Professional for 5 1/2 years. When he is not golfing, CJ loves spending time with his wife, McKenzie and his daughters, Madison and Claire.

Greg Anderson

Greg is a longtime Santa Rosa resident and one of the many lucky junior golfers who started playing at Bennett Valley Golf Course when it first opened in 1969. As a life member of the PGA of America, Greg has worked all facets of the golf industry. But his true passion remains teaching the game. He trained under some of the best golf instructors in the business, including Jim Flick, Jack Lumpkin, Bob Toski, Paul Runyan, Dean Reinmuth, and Rick Smith. Greg is known for his keen eye in swing analysis, excellent coaching ability, and personable communication with members and guests. With over 25 years of coaching the game of golf, Greg brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Bennett Valley Golf Course. Greg has always had a special emphasis on the development of an engaging year-long junior golf programs. Students appreciate that he teaches people, not necessarily methods, although he is well versed in all the current techniques and embraces using high technology equipment to validate the message. Greg is a Sonoma County native, married over 30 years to his wife Lori, and a proud father of his grown son Richie.

Justin Sweet

Justin was born and raised in Santa Rosa, where he grew up playing competitive sports. He has been working at Bennett Valley Golf Course since Touchstone Golf took over in July 2022. His true passion for the game of golf came with the challenges to excel in the sport. He has made great efforts within the industry and is currently working as an Assistant Golf Professional. He is working his way through the PGA PGM program, having passed his Playing Ability Test in August 2023. Prior to working at Bennett Valley, Justin was a Program Coordinator at the Boys and Girls Club of America. He intends to grow the game of golf at the club, with special attention to the youth community. When Justin isn’t golfing, he is spending time with his family, attending classes at the SRJC, or pumping some iron in the gym. The management team looks forward to seeing Justin around BVGC for a long time!
